International students of GSIS benefit 40~50% of the tuition fee for learning Korean at Korean Language Education Center (KLEC) of Sogang. Sogang KLEC has become well known throughout the world for its curriculum which presents students with effective and dynamic situations through which to practice their Korean language skills. Because Sogang Korean Language Center has students of 50-60 different nationalities, Korean is usually their only language in common, so in our classes students must use Korean when they share their thoughts and opinions with each other. Sogang KLEC has worked to integrate the best educational approaches and a respect for all educational needs and backgrounds to develop the Sogang Korean Language Teaching Method.

For Sogang GSIS students who want to learn Korean, 30% of the tuition fee is discounted by KLEC and 10~20% is supported by GSIS. There are four terms a year. Sogang GSIS has been giving support for learning Korean up to 5 international students per a term. Students can apply up to 3 times during their course.
