Zouaghi, Aya – France / International Trade

1. Please introduce yourself (background, interests, your MBTI, and so on)

Hello! My name is Aya and I am from France. I am currently a third-semester student majoring in International Trade. During my Bachelor I have studied Business and Administration. I would say that my main interest is sports such as volleyball, basketball and hiking which I enjoy practicing during my free time. My MBTI is INFJ, but despite being an introvert I enjoy spending some quality time with people.

2. Can you tell us the reason why you chose to study at Sogang GSIS?

I first heard about Sogang University itself when I was looking for Korean language courses. When I decided to do my master, I looked for the different options and Sogang appeared to be a perfect match given that offers English courses and diversity of courses related to my learning interests.

3. How do you usually spend your spare time in Korea?

In Seoul, there are beautiful mountains that are worth seeing, so when I have free time, I would go hiking with my friends or by myself.

4. Can you recommend your favorite place/spot in Seoul?

There are so many charming places to explore in Seoul. I would recommend a walk by Chunggyecheon stream and Korean traditional villages where you can find unique cafes and restaurants.

5. Any recommendations or know-how on life in Korea?

There are two things that I would recommend to people planning their venue to Korea. First, l would recommend that you learn Korean language before coming or at least plan on learning upon coming. This will facilitate your time here. Second, when coming to Korea, finding a housing may be difficult. That is why I would recommend newcomers to look for information about the housing system in Korea in advance.

6. Can you share your most memorable experience at Sogang GSIS with us?

My most memorable experience at Sogang GSIS was the major dinner that give us every semester the opportunity to get to know one another and spend some quality time together.

7. Do you have any advice for the prospective students at Sogang GSIS?

Make sure to look through the informative platforms available to keep yourself informed about the courses available and other different options, but also to enjoy your extra time by taking part of the different activities organized on and off campus.

8. Do you have anything to say to Sogang GSIS?

Throughout our time in Sogang GSIS, we are provided with everything we need to study in a clean and healthy environment while enjoying some extra activities that are organized by the Student Council. For this I would like to say thanks to everyone that takes part of my journey here, Professors, Administrations and other students too.
