Nguyen, Quang Huy - Vietnam / International Trade

1. Please introduce yourself (background, interests, your MBTI, and so on)

Nguyen Quang Huy here; thanks for having me. Yes, you might be able to tell that I'm Vietnamese from my family name (Nguyen). Despite coming from the North of Vietnam, I have lived and worked in the South before. Taking a master's program here in Korea could present an interesting challenge for me because I have never lived abroad for an extended period of time. Maybe more mature, I suppose. I took a few MBTI tests, and the majority of the outcomes were INFJ. But astrology is where my interests lie most. While AC is a Taurus, my sun sign is Gemini. I'm a blend of Gemini and Taurus, to put it simply. Please feel free to discover a means to contact me if you want to learn more about who I am. I’m friendly ^^. (I’m still single btw)

2. Can you tell us the reason why you chose to study at Sogang GSIS?

Korea was the first country that came to me when I made the decision to pursue my master's degree overseas. Then, I searched the internet to see whether there were any English-language courses offered in South Korea and discovered GSIS. Although GSIS is offered at a few other Seoul-area campuses, I chose Sogang University because of its positive student reviews.

3. How do you usually spend your spare time in Korea?

I often spend most of my free time learning Korean on my own and practicing with my Korean friends because I don't know a lot about the language. Additionally, I'm eager to see Seoul because I appreciate the idea of capturing as many memories as you can while you are there. After graduation, I'm not sure if I'll stay in Seoul or not.

4. Can you recommend your favorite place/spot in Seoul?

Everyone, in my opinion, has their own preferences. Since pork belly is one of my favorite foods, pig belly restaurants are certainly among my top destinations. Haha! Actually, my favorite area in Seoul is everywhere. I enjoy spending the daytime in various lovely cafes in Seoul. My favorite places to go at night to experience the nightlife are Hongdae and Itaewon.

Sincerely, Sogang GSIS is my favorite location since it allows me to meet new people and learn new things. We often laugh.

5. Any recommendations or know-how on life in Korea?

Haha! I’m sorry I cannot give you any recommendations because I’m struggling with life here too. However, if you are lucky to have friends living in Korea longer than you, they know everything. If you don’t have, get one ^^.

6. Can you share your most memorable experience at Sogang GSIS with us?

Hmmm to people who were annoyed by me at the MT party, please forgive me and forget everything haha. That wasn’t me, maybe another personality with alcohol.

7. Do you have any advice for the prospective students at Sogang GSIS?

You will undoubtedly meet a lot of wonderful people, so please be ready to meet them. Haha. Please remember to study for classes because Sogang places a lot of emphasis on the academic side of things. Additionally, Our Student Council (SC) hosts numerous activities, so get ready to have fun. All in all, come to Sogang GSIS to learn hard and play harder. YOLO

8. Do you have anything to say to Sogang GSIS?

I love you - Sogang GSIS. Even though we just know each other for a while, you have treated me well. Hope we will grow up together. Sogang GSIS is my second home now. Yêu quá nhiều ^^
